REF (4)

Unpredictability! We never know what to expect in Africa -  from the climate, the essential services, food, the people -  all is flexible.

If we cannot live with this, we cannot work in Africa. And if we cannot live with minute progress, and long long endurance  we cannot weork in Africa.

Frustrating -  definitely! But that's just how it is for all of us -  black and white together.

Monday, 31 October 2011

In the next days, we will be looking at the foundations of any work in Africa.

But this story reminds us that we function in a real culture, where real people behave in real ways.

Africa is an exciting place to work in, but also very frustrating and unpredictable. To push a work though there, we have to be very determined.

REF (1) and (2)

We're off!  Africa can be wonderful and terrible, and does this on alternate days! Or so it feels. This summer, our Mission was very much wonderful/terrible. It takes a lot of determination to take the middle path -  not to get too excited and not to get too low.

It's like riding a bicycle!

Thoughts

These are hard days for missions like ours - pure faith missions who do not ask for money but just trust. I often wonder which way to turn for support. I can only turn to the Lord.

Strongholds of Ghana

I am busy writing "The strongholds of Ghana." I have just put EPHESIANS on www.visionworld27.org Go to the BIBLE TEACHING page.

These are the Bible teachings I use to train western and African teams.

Our promo picture

This is the picture we are using for promotional purposes.

Beloved Mission school

Now that we have the land for this school, we must move to plans and approval. This will cost us, but it is essential. Sometimes Ghanaians avoid this step, but we never do.

Then we can get a realistic price for the construction.

You can follow progress on the Facebook "Beloved Missionary school" page. Join the group and you can post as well.

February

I hope to be back in Ghana for February and March. I am beginning to plan the programme.

Re B.A. They refused to hold our reservations because of the Olympics. We want to travel to Ghana not the Olympic park! Could this be that they want to charge more? Heaven forbid. KLM have no such attitude, and generally I have found KLM so much easier to deal with and travel on. They have this attitude - the fare paying passenger matters. How strange. I always feel more comfortable with them.

It took a lot of work to set up BA, and it was all wasted. I will remember this in the future.

Summer 2012

This is a long mission, and in it we have the prayer camp and the healing mission. We have a team of 6 or 7 coming out. We are hoping to use the team in the next valley this year. Plans are coning together for this. Lots of long term planning!
